Faculty of Science and Technology

History

The Faculty of Science and Technology at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University was established when the Teachers’ Colleges Act was announced on August 19, 1975. Consequently, Nakhon Ratchasima Teacher College was promoted to a higher education institution and divided into 4 government sectors: the Office of the President, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Science. However, development only continued on the Faculty of Education. Later, the Teachers’ Colleges Act, No. 2, 1984 announced that the teachers’ college was able to produce graduates in professional fields other than teaching. The Faculty of Science opened a wide range of academic fields of Science and Applied Science such as computers, computer science, practical chemistry, plant science, agricultural technology, agricultural development and communications, general home economics, etc.

Currently, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University is adjusting academic administration into a curriculum. Therefore, the Faculty of Science and Technology has appointed an academic administration committee for bachelor degree courses including 15 Bachelor of Science (B.S.) courses of and 6 Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) courses, totaling 21 courses as follows:

10. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Geoinformatics program

11. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Sports and Exercise Science program

12. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Food Science and Technology program

13. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Environmental Science program

14. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Applied Statistics program

15. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Mathematics program 

16. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Computer Education program

17. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Chemistry program

18. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Biology program

19. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Physics program

20. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) General Science program

 

The faculty also offers 5 Master's degree courses consisting of:

      1. Master of Science Program (M.S.) Environmental Management program

      2. Master of Science Program (M.S.) Management of Information Technology program

      3. Master of Science Program (M.S.) Science Education program

      4. Master of Science Program (M.S.) Information Systems and Digital Innovation program

      5. Master of Education (M.S.) in Mathematics Education program

Finally, the faculty offers 1 Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree course in Technology of Environmental Management program.

In the administration of the Faculty of Science and Technology, from the origins as a teacher’ college, Management was a science category but now has changed to the Faculty of Science and Technology. Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University has different executives repositioned to manage the work according to the period. Assistant Professor Dr. Pises Tooklang has been the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology since 21 August 2017.
